Faith, commitment and service at the heart of Braga.
The Brotherhood cares for the Basilica of Congregados, preserves devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows and Saint Anne, and helps sustain its spiritual and cultural mission.

Belonging and taking part
For generations, members have contributed their time, skills and generosity to the Basilica. Membership means sharing that commitment, with the rights and responsibilities established in the Statutes.
- Faith: fostering devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows and Saint Anne and taking part in worship.
- Heritage: helping to preserve and share the Basilica’s history and art.
- Participation: supporting the mission and governance of the Brotherhood in accordance with the Statutes.
One-time joining fee: €50 (payable after your application is approved). The Brotherhood will confirm the annual membership contribution.
Membership is open to Catholics who meet the requirements set out in Article 6 of the Brotherhood’s Statutes (Portuguese PDF). Submitting a form does not automatically make someone a member.
