BASÍLICA DOS CONGREGADOS · BRAGA
Rectors and priests
Meet those who serve the community today and the priests who have been rectors since 1961.
The rector
Fr Paulo Alexandre Terroso Silva has been rector of the Basílica dos Congregados since his appointment on 17 July 2016. He was ordained a priest on 20 July 2003.
The rector oversees the liturgical and pastoral life of the Basilica, working with the Brotherhood and with the priests, deacons and lay people who serve here.
Priests and deacons serving the community
The celebration of the Eucharist, confessions and spiritual accompaniment are supported by the dedication of several priests. Several priests, including Fr Domingos Terra, SJ, collaborate with the Basilica. Deacon Elísio Portela also serves the community.
To arrange a conversation with a priest or enquire about spiritual accompaniment, please contact the Basilica office.
